The confrontation prompted regional activists and political opponents to scrutinize environmental clearances and land records linked to a farmhouse property owned by the actor-politician located in Janwada near the Gandipet reservoir area.

Allegations of Water Body Encroachment

Activists raised concerns regarding whether structural developments on the land intersected with the Full Tank Level (FTL) boundaries of the local Kodicheruvu lake. Detractors claimed that historical water-spread buffer areas were compromised by real estate conversions over successive decades, alleging potential violations of regional environmental laws meant to conserve natural irrigation channels.

Evidentiary Defense and Official Records

In response to the public allegations, Pawan Kalyan’s office released comprehensive land survey records and a certification issued by the Shankarpally Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO). The documents indicate that the approximately eight-acre plot in Survey No. 695 was legally acquired in 2002 and sits roughly 200 meters outside the designated water body margins. Independent analysis of historical revenue logs and satellite mapping supported the defense, showing that the demarcated government lake area is restricted to Survey No. 707, while the surrounding lands had been formally classified as private patta lands long before the construction of the farmhouse infrastructure in 2014.
